See ya next year Haunted Holidays!

After months of enjoying the magical glow of Christmas lights and looming skeletons we reset the space for February 2026.   Fret not, our gremlins will continue swing from the chandeliers.

Considering a décor vacuum, we invited Logan Skinner to adorn our old wood walls with his linocut prints.  Check him out on Instagram @Ashtraylinocut . Enjoy pondering the sacred meaning of his work like he would, with fine tasting libation…

Bourbon!

We introduced the latest Pinhook True Small Batch Cask Strength Bourbon 2025 Release a little while ago.  If you haven’t tried it yet you’re missing out!   Personally, I think it’s one of the best barrel blends we’ve done in collaboration with our sister spot, Gioia and The Owl Shop.  Pop in for a pour or take a bottle home.  Availability is limited.

And in other news

The upcoming cocktail list will be an experiment in synesthesia. A neurological phenomona that blends the five senses.  Wiki on that HERE.  We dive into tasting tints and so created a very colorful lineup of new drinks.  Imagine a brilliant bouquet on a tray presented at your table with each color offering playful and flavorful taste profiles.

Other new menu items include a bolstered 0% alcohol options. This includes a versatile house made alcohol free “spirit” list with Negroni, Americano, and Daiquiris.  New N/A IPA and Lager are available and our latest tasty treasure, local New Haven Gorilla Lemonades!

Upcoming Events:

When: Tuesday, 2/10/26. 6pm.

Where: 1020 Chapel Street. then Ordinary.

This is a double feature party starting at Grails on Chapel Street from 6pm – 8pm and continuing at Ordinary from 8pm to 11pm.  Cocktails + Vinyl. Ages 21 and older.  Free to attend.  More info at GrailsonChapel.com

Valentine’s Day Oasis

When: Saturday, 2/14/26 at 5pm.

Where: Ordinary

Need a safe space to hide from Cupid’s sneaky sniper spears?  Want a casually haunted space to be cozy in with cocktails and celebrate with spirits?  Are you looking for the most romantic & expensive prix fixe menu in New Haven?  Do you seek a beer by yourself at a friendly old tavern bar?

Well, we offer 75% of all that.  No Prix Fixe here but we do offer sharable snacks and tea lights.

No reservations but it’s always a good idea to let us know if you have more than a party of five looking for seats.  Give me call.  Let’s hang out.

I mean that.  Let’s hang out.  We are so excited to share with you some magic. Hope to see you soon!

Thanks for reading.

The linocut prints sound like the perfect antidote to a décor vacuum—Logan’s work on those old wood walls is going to be killer. Can’t wait to see the gremlins swinging next to them, and I’ve been digging his process over on https://thingiverse.app

Love that you’re swapping skeletons for linocuts—Logan’s prints are going to look killer on those old wood walls. The gremlins better watch their swing space, though. I’ve been using https://deepfacelab.pro

The linocut prints sound like the perfect antidote to a décor vacuum—way better than staring at bare walls while the gremlins do their thing. Definitely need to see more of Logan’s work, so I’ve been digging through https://meshiai.pro
